I wanted to pass on a favorite website of mine. FreeRice.com Its great for challenging your vocabulary or just a quick time suck that utilizes some, but not all of your brain power. Also, for every right answer you donate 10 grains of rice. That adds up if you do it everyday. Make a goal and meet it. Not only will you be helping yourself but also hungry people across the world. It's That Time of Year Again...

School has begun and so have Silverstones' Teen and Tween weekly programs. Lit Lounge and T.A.C (Teen Arts & Crafts) for ages 11-13 will take place Tuesdays at 4:15 pm. Same programs different day, Thursday's at 4:15 pm for ages 14-18. Come check out our library goodies!

The Teens' Top Ten is a reading list chosen entirely by and for teens. The twenty-six nominations were chosen by fifteen teen book groups from across the U.S. Last year, more than 11,000 teens voted for the Teens' Top Ten, Paper Towns by John Green.
Voting is open now through September 17. We'll announce the winners at www.ala.org/teenstopten during Teen Read Week, Oct. 17-23.

Plus, If you let me know during the month of September that you voted, I'll buy you the candy of your choice.
